Question: High Leverage Activity
Quote
James Clear on how our actions shape our identity:
“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your new identity.”
These actions give you proof that you are who you say you are — or who you’re becoming.
Many of us have an idea of who we want to become but oftentimes, we never incorporate the actions into our daily routine that build the identity we want.
Consider what actions you could take today (even if small) to help reinforce a part of your identity.
Ideas From Me
I.
“Everything we say at funerals should be said at birthday parties instead.”
Why do we wait until someone is gone to share what they mean to us?
The pain of loss is compounded by words left unspoken.
Let’s challenge ourselves to be better at communicating to people what they mean to us.
Not just to prevent regret for ourselves in the future but also to provide blessing for others in the present.
II.
You can learn from failure
You can learn from success
What can you not learn from?
Inaction.
There are no results to observe or actions to improve upon.
Experience is the best teacher but in order to get experience you have to take action.
III.
Consider finding 2 extra hours a day (14 hours a week, 728 hours a year).
How?
• Time block
• Wake up earlier
• Less phone / TV
Imagine investing those 728 hours per year in:
• Your health
• Your learning
• Your business
• Your relationships
You'd be transformed.

“All time is quality time…if you choose to make it so. And you can’t let your future plans–to have a great time together, to go do something together, to all be together–let you off the hook right now where you are also together, in the living room, at the doctor’s office, FaceTiming from the business trip.
This moment in front of you is a gift. It’s everything you’ll ever need and ever want.
Should you choose to accept it. Should you choose to embrace it.”
